THAILAND VISA

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Entry to Thailand
• To enter Thailand, you no longer require a Thailand Pass, need to present evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result.

• As local transmission of the virus continues in Thailand, it is highly recommended to have COVID-19 insurance even though it is no longer mandatory.

• If you plan to visit Thailand and then travel to a country that requires COVID-19 testing for entry, you must purchase medical insurance that includes COVID-19 treatment coverage prior to your arrival in Thailand.

• Biometric screening may be conducted at entry points, and COVID-19-related restrictions are subject to frequent changes.

• Check entry requirements with your airline, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), or the nearest Thai Embassy to avoid any confusion or inconvenience.

Staying in Thailand
• If your medical insurance policy does not offer sufficient coverage for COVID-19, you will be responsible for covering all COVID-19 treatment expenses during your travels.

• Thailand's 76 provinces are managed under a color-coded rating system with dark red zones indicating the highest number of COVID-19 cases. Restrictions and travel rules are implemented based on the color rating of each province.

• COVID-19 related restrictions may vary at the local or provincial level, so it's essential to check what applies before travelling and follow local authorities' guidance.

• Stay updated with the current guidance of local authorities and the Thai government's official Facebook page. Adhere to preventive measures to minimize health risks and avoid any potential penalties.

Departure from Thailand
• Travellers should refer to the relevant airline or travel provider for information about departing Thailand.
