When to Apply
It is recommended to apply for your Papua New Guinea visa at least 3 months before your date of arrival into Papua New Guinea. Papua New Guinea processing times are 5 - 10 working and are processed on queue and priority basis. There is no urgent processing offered by the Embassy and Consulate so please ensure sufficient time before your departure date from Australia when lodging your application.
Visa Validity and Duration
Papua New Guinea tourist visas are valid for 6 months from date of issue and you are allowed a maximum stay of up to 60 days stay from the date of arrival. The Business Short Term Multiple Entry visa is valid for 12 months from date of issue and you are allowed a maximum stay of up to 60 days stay on each arrival. You may enter PNG up to and including the date of expiration as stated on the visa. Once expired, you must re-apply for a new visa.
